Expeditions Direct was founded in January 2019 by Danie Vermeulen, on the back of years spent guiding across Southern Africa and actively involved in conservation management. That background shapes how a trip gets built here: routes chosen by experts who have walked them, driven them and camped them. Limited trips are planned for small groups to ensure personalised attention to detail.

Every expedition moves in luxury 4x4 vehicles, on private air or road charters, and stays only at camps and lodges we would return to ourselves. We work across twelve regions of South Africa, from the Greater Kruger to the Cape Winelands, the Kalahari to the Wild Coast, and build each itinerary around your dates rather than a fixed departure calendar.
