Greater Kruger National Park
Attractions
The Greater Kruger runs from the fenceless private reserves on its western boundary into the Kruger National Park itself, giving access to all of the Big Five along with wild dog, cheetah and more than 500 recorded bird species. Game drives run at dawn and dusk, when animals move to water and the light does the rest.
Climate
Warm to hot for most of the year, with a wet, green summer from November to March and a dry, dusty winter from May to August, when the bush thins out and sightings along the rivers become easier.
Activities
Game drives in open vehicles, guided bush walks, night drives on the private reserves, and river-bed camping on multi-day walking trails.
